Range Rover Sport 2014

Range Rover Sport 2014

Judging by the 6 months waiting list in Dubai, UAE to order one and that it's completely out of stock at the Range Rover showroom, the Range Rover Sport 2014 is a highly demanded car. It comes with three different engines, a 3.0L V6 HSE, a 5.0L V8 Supercharged and the luxurious and slightly over priced Autobiography that comes with the same engine as the Supercharged model.

The HSE model comes with the bottom of the range engine and it generates 340-horse power and is more fuel-efficient than the Supercharged model. The supercharged model generates 510 horsepower, which is 170-horse power more than the HSE model. Its also supercharged increasing its 0-60mph time to 5.0 seconds in comparison with the V6 engine that has a time of 6.9 seconds, which some people may not consider such a big difference.

As for the interior and exterior the HSE model has almost the same interior options as the other two models. The Supercharged model comes with two more interior color options than the HSE that only has five and the Autobiography has eleven interior color options. As for exterior the HSE model is slightly less sporty than the Supercharged model due to a sport body kit fitted onto it, as for the Autobiography model, it comes with an enhanced “Autobiography” body kit.

However all three models come with the same add-on options, such as lane-change assistance, adaptive cruise control, parking assistance, wade sensing for rain or snow. All three also come with optional panoramic roof and standard sports seats. And finally surround cameras with almost 360-degree view.

The Range Rover Sport is one of the most popular cars in the UAE and in the world, and that’s due to its dynamic performance and the engine options as well as interior and exterior options that you can choose from to really make a car your own. Whether you want something chic and fuel efficient, or sporty and fast or the luxurious all-in-one Autobiography.

Porsche Macan S Vs. Porsche Cayenne V6

A car that has left many awaiting its arrival, made by one of the best car producers in the world. The all-new Porsche Macan S 2014. Yet many car fanatics are wondering, how is the Macan any different than the Cayenne?
Porsche Macan S (Left), Porsche Cayenne V6 (Right)

They both have a V6 petrol engine, and they both come in a variety of models and engines(atleast the Cayenne does). The Cayenne comes with a basic V6 engine (the most compatible model with the Macan), the Cayenne S with a V8 Engine, the cayenne S Diesel with a V6 engine, the Cayenne GTS with a V8 Engine, the Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S with a V8 Engine. As for the Macan there hasn’t been any confirmed news on how many models there will be but, based on speculations and leaked documents there will be a Macan S V6, Macan S Diesel and a Macan Turbo.

The Macan S will have 340-hp, 3.0L engine and a top speed of 254km/h. The Cayenne has 300-hp, 3.6L engine and a top speed of 230km/h. The Macan takes the upper hand here, with more horsepower and a higher top speed. Most importantly although there aren’t details about the Macan’s weight but it will definitely weigh less than the Cayenne’s 2765Kg weight since the Macan is basically a crossover of the Panamera and the Cayenne.

Based on engine specifications and performance the Macan is a better choice, since its obviously smaller, lighter and faster, only if your choices are either the Macan S or Cayenne V6. However if you’re choosing between any of the Macan models and any of the Cayenne models whether its S, GTS or Turbo and Turbo S, then the Cayenne is the best choice. Personally, I highly recommend the Cayenne (as long as its not any of the V6 models), its reliable, luxurious and fast and even though the Macan is new and has a better performance V6 engine than the Cayenne V6, the other Cayenne models shouldn’t even be compared to the Macan, because they’re at a whole other level. Finally even though the Cayenne isn't the best looking car out there, its definitely better looking than the Macan.
